This painting is very special to me. My Dad instilled in me from a very young age a love of exploring the Adirondack mountains in upstate NY. Fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, camping and climbing the historic fire towers. This painting reminds me of my Dad and the Adirondack fire tower challenge I undertook - it is of the view you see starting on the trail to a far distant fire tower.
On another level, it is also a painting of hope and of how hope can get you through the storm. I believe hope is a seed of faith. From hope you can grow into the faith of knowing. Knowing the storm will pass and it will be brighter and better on the other side.
